The following procedure is applicable to all models. Some models may use either Girling or ATE type rear caliper assemblies, Figs. 3 and 4.
1.
Raise and support rear of vehicle, then remove rear wheels and tires.
2.
Using a suitable punch, remove lockpins and spring clips, then remove pads.
3.
Using a suitable clamp, press pistons back into bore.
4.
Install new pads, then replace lockpins and spring clips.
5.
Install wheels and lower vehicle. After replacing pads on any disc brake system, caliper pistons will be retracted in their bores and will require at
least one full application of brakes to assume correct position. Do not attempt to move car until a firm brake pedal has been achieved.
