Evaporator Core: Service and Repair

Grease rubber strips.
Q12
Install evaporator. Take care that plastic cross does not catch.
Q13
Install:
-
evaporator cover.
-
butyl tape around the lower pipe as sealing against climate control unit cover.
Q14
Seal the lower part of the joint between the cover and the heater housing:

Use sealant, PIN 3522558-0. Apply sealant 20 mm (0.787') up along cover mating edge.

Coat 0-rings with compressor oil.
Q15
Install:
-
pipe on evaporator. Tighten pipe connections handtight.
-
rubber seal. Install clamp on pipe. Do not tighten clamp.
