Remedies for poor idle quality
At very high ambient temperatures combined with extended periods of idling or stop-and-go driving and variations in fuel quality, the engine may have a
tendency to idle poorly. The following measures can be carried out to minimize this condition
B230F, B230FD:
Replace gear shiftlock relay, see A1

B230FD only:
Install cable harness, see A2.

Replace EPROM, see A3
(P/N 271906-0)

Replacement of gear shiftlock relay
Replace the gear shiftlock relay if it is not P/N
3515647-0 or P/N 9128134-5.
Method, replacement of relay The relay is located inside the control panel on the left.

Remove panels.

Replace existing relay with P/N 3515647-0 and new clip P/N 1277898-1.
-
Reinstall panels.
