Governor, Automatic Transmission: Service and Repair
Installation
1. Replace gasket under channel plate (AW: Clean oil filter).
2. Replace oil seal for flange and speedometer driven gear. Also check bushing in extension housing.
3. Reverse procedure to install governor.

Turn drive ring on BW55 to secure.

AW70 late type/AW71: install bolt, lock plate and drive ring. Tightening torque 4 Nm (3 ft lb).
4. Tightening torques (all transmissions):
-
rear extension housing 35 Nm (26 ft lb)
-
coupling flange 45 Nm (33 ft lb)
5. Fill oil and check level.
