Gear Selector Assembly, (models from 93 on) Repair/Replacement
Replacement of gear selector knob
Remove gaiter from knob.
Grip gaiter by retaining clip (located on inside). Turn gaiter through quarter turn and pull down. Make sure the retaining clip returns to original
position inside the gaiter after removal.
Remove knob by pulling upward off lever.
NOTE! Considerable force is required to remove knob.
Install new knob and lock button.
Push retaining clip slightly into gaiter. Do not turn the retaining clip. Push gaiter over catches, against edge of knob.
