THIS BULLETIN APPLIES TO BOTH THE US AND CANADIAN MARKETS

A zero position (off position) heater fan switch is now available for 1981 and 1982 vehicles. These vehicles were originally equipped with 4 speed fans
which did not have an OFF position. To update 1981 and 1982 vehicles, the following steps are necessary.

DISCONNECT THE BATTERY GROUND LEAD

REMOVE:

-

soundproofing and side panels on both sides

-

radio

-

center control panel, move to one side

-

central console front panel. Pull as far forward as possible

Remove the existing fan switch from its plug.

Remove the black (SB) wire from PIN #1 on plug and install it into PIN #7 which is now vacant. (Numbers are stamped on plug and switch)

Remove the blue/yellow (BL/Y) wire from PIN #5 and tape the end. Place wire in an area where it will not disturb the function of any other
device.
