Remove valve stem seals from intake valve guides

Use tool P/N 9995219-4

REAMING

NOTE:

Only those camshaft bearing surfaces that are damaged, should be reamed.

1.

Clean bearing surfaces using a machine oil or kerosene.

2.

Install the old bearing cap(s) and ream out the excess material from the bearing surface(s). Use machine oil as a lubricant.

NOTE:

Start from the front of the cylinder head using a bearing journal which is not damaged, as a guide.

3.

Remove old bearing cap(s).

4.

Clean bearing surfaces.

5.

Install new bearing cap(s) P/N 1276107-8.
