Check and adjust valve clearance

Refer to Service Manual TP 30170/2

Install cylinder head

NOTE:

Use only late type of cylinder head bolts (as illustrated)

IMPORTANT:

If the camshaft seized due to sludge in the oil galleries, it is recommended to check and clean the following:

-

Crank case ventilation. Clean hoses, nipple and flame trap. Check if the PCV system has been modified according to Service Bulletin Group 22
No. 104 dated September, 1983.

Oil pan and oil pump screen. Remove oil pan and clean from sludge. Remove oil pump screen and clean.

The customer should be advised of the importance of following the oil change intervals and oil quality recommendations.

Supplementary oil additives must not be used.

This operation does not apply to new car warranty (cylinder head to be replaced).

Claims submitted must have prior approval from the Regional Service Manager.
