Below is an example of a properly completed warranty claim for this repair modification.
It is your responsibility as a Volvo dealer to perform this repair modification on all eligible vehicles which come into your dealership regardless of
mileage. Perform this repair for any owner of an affected vehicle who presents his Volvo to you for service, regardless of whether you are his selling
dealer or whether he/she is unable to produce the owner notification letter.

This is not a Volvo Recall Campaign, and therefore, vehicle campaign notices, labels, and stickers are not being issued.
Dear Volvo Owner:

Volvo has developed an improved oil drain pipe which provides easier access to the oil filter in certain 1985 and 1986 model year gas turbocharged 740
and 760 series vehicles. Our records indicate that your Volvo has a turbocharger oil drain pipe which is positioned in such a way as to make it difficult to
change the oil filter during servicing. Replacement of the original oil drain pipe is necessary since proper maintenance and regular oil and filter changes
are critical on a turbocharged engine. However, this condition will not affect the operation of the car or cause any driveability or safety-related problems.

We have advised all authorized dealers of this service campaign. They have been supplied with the technical information and materials necessary to
modify affected vehicles. We request that, at your next scheduled oil change or service, you contact your selling dealer or, in the event you have moved,
the nearest Volvo dealer to request this modification be performed.

Although you will incur the cost of the normal servicing of your vehicle, there will be no additional charge for this modification. This letter should be
presented to the dealer when you request him to perform the service.
