Removal

Drain fuel from tank using suitable pumping equipment.

Remove floor mat and panel from trunk Disconnect:

-

wiring harness connector for sender. Remove terminals from connector.

-

ground wire for sender Push wires through grommet Remove cover for access to sender

for station wagons only:
To gain access to the sender cover, - fold rear seat forward

remove front mat in luggage compartment

-

remove three screws. Pull mat forward.

for all models:
From fuel gauge sender, disconnect:

-

breather hose C

-

return hose A

-

supply hose B

-

filler hose D

-

wiring harness from clip E
