THIS SERVICE BULLETIN IS APPLICABLE TO THE U.S. AND CANADIAN MARKETS
A new drift has been introduced for installation of the rear crankshaft seal on B20, B30, B21, and B23 engines. This new drift replaces 9992817-8.
9995276-4 DRIFT
The crankshaft oil seal fits into the sealing flange which is retained by screws to the engine block.
The depth that the seal can be pressed into the sealing flange can be varied by use of spacer rings. (max 2) P/N 945485-1.
These rings should be placed at the rear of the drift, as illustrated.
NOTE! With the engine tool P/N 9992817- the sealing flange has to be removed.
With the new tool P/N 9995276-4 the sealing flange does not have to be removed.
