Center Support: Service and Repair
Installation

1. Lubricate outer diameter of new bearing with vaseline and press bearing in support. Use drift P/N 5242 as support and press with P/N 5243.

2. Tap front bearing shield in place on propeller shaft. Use a plastic hammer.
3. Tap support bearing and holder in place. Use tool P/N 5087.
4. Tap rear bearing shield in place. Use tool P/N 5087 and tap evenly so that shield is not cocked in position.
5. Check that bearing rotates smoothly.

6. Install rubber bellows and aluminium ring. Lubricate inside of bellows with vaseline. Make sure that bellows is correctly located on shaft and is

held in place by the ring.
