NOTE:

Vehicles manufactured from Week 9 1986 (end of February): hydraulic pressure = 9.31-10.0 MPa (1324-1422 psi).

Check pump pressure in right hand lock position.

Turn steering wheel to right-hand lock position and check the pressure gauge as described above.

If pressure is not to specification, check pump capacity.

Close pressure gauge valve (arrow) for max. 10 seconds. If pump is working properly the pressure should rise to the specified value.

Turn engine OFF

Refit impact pad (arrow).

Disconnect test equipment, adapters Reconnect delivery hose to pump

Start engine, turn steering wheel between locks Check oil level in reservoir Top-up as required.

Specified oil:

ATF type A, F or G

Turn engine OFF
During New Car Warranty period, claims must be submitted under:
