Torque to 85 Nm (63 ft lb).

Lower vehicle.
Rear
REAR SHOCK ABSORBER REPLACEMENT
1. Jack up vehicle.

If a 4-post hoist is used or if the work is carried out on shop floor, support vehicle beneath rear jack attachments.
^
If a twin-post hoist is used, support front end beneath control arm brackets and rear beneath jack attachments.
2. Raise rear axle to unload shock absorbers.
^
Use a jack and stand #2714 or equivalent.
3. Remove lower shock bolt.
