New type water hose, installing
In order to standardize the upper radiator hose and the cold start device upper hose, a modification kit has been made available. This kit changes the
diameter of both original hoses at the cylinder head to conform to their respective diameters at the radiator and cold start device. A new cylinder head
water outlet with the new dimensions is included in the kit and must be installed with the new hoses.
NOTE:
The previous hoses remain available.
To install the new hoses and water outlet, proceed as follows:
Method:
Drain coolant
NOTE:
Coolant level only needs to fall below cylinder head water outlet.
Unscrew expansion tank cap
Vehicles without drain tap:
Disconnect lower radiator hose to drain coolant. Disconnect lower hose from cold start device.
Vehicles with drain tap:
Unscrew the tap to drain coolant.
