Shift Solenoid: Service and Repair

System Overview

1. Open connector on gearbox beside gear selector mechanism. Withdraw lead from protective sleeve and unhook from bracket.
2. Clean area around valve.
3. Remove valve and 0-rings.
4. Install new valve and new 0-rings.

Use Vaseline to hold 0-rings in position. Tighten bolts.

Torque: 10-16 Nm (7-12 ft.lb)

5. Insert lead in protective sleeve and rejoin connector.
6. Check operation of valve.
