Install Bump Stop and Bellows on Shock Absorber and Spring Strut

Ensure that top of bump stop is lower than top of shock absorber piston rod.
Spring Replacement

Remove press tool 5407.
^
Loosen the jaws alternately from old spring.
^
Compress new spring with tool 5407.
^
Place tools 5407 opposite each other with three free spring coils between the tool jaws.
^
Compress each side alternately.
NOTE: The illustration shows a coil spring of later design.
