Fuel Pressure: Testing and Inspection
Rest Pressure Test

1.

With the fuel pump activated, turn the gauge lever to position 2 (right angles to the gauge hoses).

Stop pump.

3.

Pressure must not drop noticeably within one minute.

4.

In case of hot start problems, repeat the rest pressure test for an extended period. A rest pressure of 14.2 psi (1 kp/cm2) should remain for 20
minutes.

5.

In case of a drop in rest pressure, the following tests will isolate the trouble.
