THIS SERVICE BULLETIN IS APPLICABLE TO THE U.S. AND CANADIAN MARKETS.
NEW OIL RECOMMENDATIONS FOR AUTOMATIC TRANSMISSIONS

With the introduction of the 1984 models oil requirements have been changed for AW 71 transmission. Also the recommended oil for the new ZF 4
HP-22 transmission is shown below.

TRANSMISSION TYPE

RECOMMENDED OIL

AW71 to 1983 . . . . ATF type G (or F) AW71 from . . . . . ATF type Dexron II D 1984 onwards ZF 4 HP-22 . . . . . ATF type Dexron II D

Dexron II D MUST NOT be used for manual gearboxes with overdrive.
