New diaphragm-type oil pressure sensor - B280

A new type oil pressure sensor has been brought into production of B280 engines from engine number 14418.

New part number 1218360-4.

The new sensor is a diaphragm-type and is very similar to the one used for 4-cylinder engines. The B280 engine block has been
modified to accommodate the new sensor. There is no longer a drain passage between the oilway and timing gear case.

NOTE:

The earlier type of engine block will not be stocked by the parts department.

CAUTION:
The new sensor must not be installed in B280 engines prior to engine number 14418.

The new oil pressure sensor may only be installed in the new engine block, i.e. the engine block without a drain passage.
