Applies to M/Y - 1987

Install edge trim 150 mm (5.9") on the strand under the thermostat.

Applies to M/Y - 1988

Install protection on the wiring to seat heating relay.

Use wear protection, P/N 9134915-9.

Cut the sleeve in the center. Use half on each front seat. Install half the sleeve around the wiring. Fasten the sleeve with two tie straps, P/N 948211-8.

Reinstall Seats

Reinstall cover over folding mechanism.

Note! 

Check seal around seat rail index pin (seat rail closest to the transmission tunnel) damaged seal must be replaced, P/N 6812088-0.

Reinstall seats in the car, tightening torques, seat rails to the floor 45 Nm (33 ft. lbs).

Perform function test on the seats.

Inspection

Inspecting Fuses and Seat Functions

Check that fuses with the correct amperage are installed for all seat functions. The correct fuses are shown in decals or in the Owners Manual.

Check seat power functions.

Malfunctions that are determined to have been caused by chafed cables according to this bulletin must be replaced.

Other conditions are not covered by this campaign.
