Fit hub, outer bearing and castle nut
Fit brake disc
Tightening torque, stud 10 N-m (7 ft.lb.)
Adjusting front wheel bearing
Tighten the castle nut to a torque of 57 N-m (42 ft.lb.) while turning the disc. Loosen the nut by half a turn, then tighten the nut by hand (1.5 N-m = 1.1
ft.1b.) . Insert the split pin; if no hole is uncovered, tighten the nut slightly to the next hole.
Fill grease cap half full with grease.
Fit grease cap using sleeve 2715.
Carefully clean brake disc friction surface
Use methylated spirits.
Fit brake caliper
Use new Allen bolts. Tighten to 100 N-m (74 ft.lbs.)
Fit wheel
Tighten nuts to 85 N-m (63 ft.lbs.)
NOTE:
Incorrectly torqued wheel nuts can cause brake vibrations.
Lower vehicle
Pump brake pedal several times to achieve firm pedal.
