Replacement of Fuel Tank Sending Unit
The sending unit on 700/900 series vehicles from 1992 on has a plastic flange (earlier models have a metal flange).
The plastic flange sending unit will supersede the metal flange sending unit as a replacement part.
If the sending unit must be replaced on a model up to and including 1991 (in which the sending unit has a metal flange), the part number of the correct
replacement unit with a plastic flange may be obtained from the table.
