Check kick-down cable (if equipped) adjustment by pressing the gas pedal to the floor and measuring the distance between cable sleeve and clip.
Do not operate throttle control by hand, it can give you a wrong reading. Measurement should reed 50.4 - 52.6 mm (1.98 - 2.07 in), adjust as
necessary. In idle position the measurement should reed 0.25 - 1 mm (0.01 - 0.04 in).

Reassemble all components.

Run engine until it has reached operating temperature. Let it idle for an additional five minutes.

Ground red - white wire at the test connector. Air conditioner must be off.

Check idle speed.

Reading should be:

700 RPM

Adjust idle speed to 700 RPM with the idle screw if needed.

Disconnect ground wire at test connector.

17.

Idle speed should increase.

Reading should be:

750 ± 20 RPM

Disconnect all test equipment.
