Radius Arm: Service and Repair
CONTROL ARM STRUT & BUSHING REPLACE
1.
Raise and support front of vehicle and remove wheel.
2.
Remove strut to control arm attaching bolt, then detach strut and remove bushing.
3.
Remove strut rear mount attaching bolt, then remove strut from vehicle.
4.
Press rear bushing out of strut using tool 2731.
5.
Reverse procedure to install. Press rear bushing into strut using tool 2731 and a V-block. Torque strut to control arm attaching bolt to 70 ft. lbs.
Torque rear mount attaching bolt to 63 ft. lbs. if M12 bolt is used, or 73 ft. lbs. for M14 bolt.
