POWER ANTENNA MALFUNCTION
If an owner complains of poor radio reception and malfunction or failure of the power antenna, the following action must be taken in every case before
replacing the complete antenna.
WARRANTY STATEMENT: Claims may be submitted during the New Car Limited Warranty when a manufacturing defect is present using claim type:

Inspection and Cleaning - Antenna Mast
INSPECTION AND CLEANING OF ANTENNA MAST
Extend antenna mast fully.
Check:
- that the antenna can be fully extended - that the antenna has not been bent or otherwise damaged by careless handling
If the antenna mast is damaged, it should be replaced with a new mast kit, p/n 1384561-5.
CLEAN ANTENNA MAST.
