Trunk/Liftgate Sensor/Switch (For Alarm): Description and Operation
Without Deadlock
The switch at the trunk/tailgate central lock unit consists of a microswitch which only regulates the luggage area lighting and therefore does not send any
signal to the central locking relay.

Service Security Setting
The trunk/tailgate central lock unit, which can only be operated mechanically with the master and wallet keys, features a service security setting which
bypasses the central locking system, preventing unauthorized access. In this service setting, the central lock motor is activated but its control rod is
disconnected from the system's lock mechanism, so it cannot operate the lock mechanism. Locking in the service deadlock setting:
Turn the key about 90° anti-clockwise.
Pull out the key vertically.
Unlocking from the service deadlock position:
Turn the key about 120° clockwise a, the key will automatically revert to the vertical position 1 . Pull the key out vertically.
