Seat Heater Thermostat: Testing and Inspection
Front Seat
Use this procedure if Heater is not working, but power supply and ground connection are OK.

Turn ignition off.

Undo connectors.

Remove thermostat and plastic mount from seat.

Remove thermostat from connector.
-
Connect an ammeter in place of thermostat and turn Ignition on.
-
Ammeter should read at least 4A.
If reading is correct:

Fault is in thermostat.

Replace thermostat and try again.
If reading is incorrect:
-
There is an open-circuit in the heater element wiring.
-
Remove cover and replace heater element.
