Seat Heater Thermostat: Testing and Inspection
Rear Seat

Use this procedure if Heater is not working, but power supply and ground connection are OK.

-

Turn ignition on.

-

Set rear seat heater switch to ON.

-

Spray cooling spray on thermostat located at rear of seat cushion.

-

Now check if seat and backrest elements start heating up.

If only the seat cushion element heats up, Fault is in backrest heater element. Remove cover and replace backrest heater element.

If only backrest heater element heats up, Fault is in seat cushion heater element. Remove cover and replace seat cushion heater element.

If neither heater element heats up, Fault is in seat cushion thermostat. Remove cover and replace seat cushion heater element.
