Brake Rotor/Disc: Service and Repair
Brake Disc Front Replacement [KE]
Special tools: 115 8147 torque socket
Preparations[KE1]

Remove wheel.
Removing brake caliper and brake pads [KE2]

Remove retaining spring (3) carefully so as not to deform it.

Remove protective caps (1) from the two locating pins (2).

Remove both locating pins, using 7 mm (0.276") hexagonal socket.
[KE3]

Remove brake caliper carefully from mounting so as not to damage brake hose.
-
Remove brake pads.
-
Hang brake caliper from a steel wire from the front spring so as not to damage hose.
NOTE: Do not depress brake pedal while brake pad is removed.
Removing brake disc [KE4]
-
Remove both caliper mounting bolts and remove mounting.
-
Remove locating pins (and bolt on earlier models).
-
Remove brake disc.
Cleaning and checking [KE5]
