Brake Proportioning/Combination Valve: Service and Repair

Removal [LH1]

-

Clean around pipe nipples on valve to prevent dirt getting into braking system pipes.

-

Put rags under valve to prevent brake fluid spilling onto painted surfaces.

Undo nuts on brake pipe.

-

Remove both mounting bolts.

-

Remove valve.

Installing [LH3]

-

Install and tighten both valve mounting bolts.

-

Install brake pipe. Check that no dirt gets into system.

[LH4]

-

Bleed braking system after installing. Bleed as per LK. Bleeding brakes.  See: Brake Bleeding/Service and Repair
