Unscrew brake light switch (from brake pedal) until brake light comes on.

-

Screw switch in gently (towards brake pedal) until brake light goes out again.

-

Tighten locknut. Check that switch position does not change.

Check that leads are not twisted.

-

Install sound insulation.

Brake light switch (later model)

Preparations [LC5]

-

Check that ignition is switched off.

-

Remove sound insulation.

Removal [LC6]

-

Depress brake pedal and lock it in the depressed position with a pedal jack.

-

Push brake light switch casing forwards towards pedal support bracket to release the white locking sleeve.

-

Pull the white locking sleeve towards the tip of the brake light switch as far as it will go.

-

Push in brake light switch locking clamps and remove switch.

-

Remove connector.

Checking [LC7]

Check that the new brake light switch to see that:
-

the white locking sleeve is completely extended towards the brake light switch tip.
