CHIRPING NOISE
Occurrence:

Often heard coming from the belt pulley on the power steering pump due to improper alignment between the belt and the pulley.
^
Detectable outside the car as a varying pitch chirping noise.
Analysis method:

Let the car idle. Listen with stethoscope in the area where the belt enters the servo belt mechanism.
Repair:

Check the power steering belt pulley alignment with the shaft end. If it is not, follow instructions for re-assembly.
