Wastegate: Service and Repair
WASTEGATE VALVE SERVO, REPLACEMENT
Preparations

Remove:
-
Turbocharger heat shield.
Removal
^
Remove / disconnect:
-
Locking pin in valve arm.
-
Hose from valve.
-
Fresh air hose from turbocharger and Mass Air Flow (MAF) sensor, Move hose to one side.
NOTE: Remove following in order specified.
-
Servo rear bolt (1).
-
Servo front bolt (2).
Installation of Pressure Servo
^
Install:
-
New servo bolts.
Tighten to 20 Nm (14.8 ft lb).
