for Seat Belt Catch

CORRECTIVE ACTIONS:
SUMMARY:
Seat-belt-catch threaded inserts are replaced on power seats. To perform this operation the power seat must be removed and turned sideways to allow
access. After the insert is accessible a simple press tool is used to remove the old insert and washer. A new insert and washer is installed, by pressing in
with a bolt (the bolt and press tool are supplied with 2 new inserts and washers as a kit). Cars with side- impact air bags (SIPS Bags) must have
"transport safety device" installed before removing the seat.
Note
Parts kits contain two mounting nuts so cars with two power seats only require one kit. On vehicles with only a driver-side power seat, one new
mounting nut and washer from the kit will be discarded. USE ONE KIT PER VEHICLE.
METHOD:
REMOVING SEAT FROM FLOOR
-
Move seat to the forward-most position.
-
Remove plastic seat rail caps at the rear edge of the seat.
-
Remove 2 bolts holding the rear of the seat tracks to floor (14 mm wrench).
