Dear Volvo Owner,
This notice is sent to you in accordance with the requirements of the Motor Vehicle Safety Act. Volvo has decided that a defect which relates to motor
vehicle safety exists in the scat belt threaded insert of certain 1995 model year Volvo 850 series vehicles equipped with power seats. There is the
possibility the threaded insert does not meet Volvo's specifications. As a result, there is the possibility that the seat belt may not perform as intended in a
severe accident. If this occurs, there is a risk of personal injury.
Volvo will replace the insert at no charge to you. The time needed for the service procedure is about one hour and ten minutes. However, due to service
scheduling time, your retailer may need your vehicle for one final working day. Please contact your authorized Volvo retailer to arrange for this
replacement.
