Adjustment of electric window winder upper stop
To minimize wind and road noise from the side windows, an adjustable upper stop is installed on electric window winders on production models. This
stop should be adjusted if a customer complains of wind and road noise.
Adjustment of electric window winder upper stop, front and rear doors.

Remove door panel as described in service manual.

Place two strips of tape overtop edge of window.

Raise window until it is in contact with door frame. Mark position where window enters frame.

Lower window 2 mm (5/64") using mark as guide.

Slacken stop retaining nut.
-
Press stop upward against winder mechanism arm and tighten nut to 10 Nm (7 ft lb).
