Wiper Motor Linkage: Service and Repair
If you believe link arms to be out of position, observe the following procedure.

Remove wiper unit / motor. See: Wiper Motor/Service and Repair

Undo crank arm nut from wiper motor shaft.

Adjust position of crank arm so the extension of the link arm closest to the windshield wiper unit passes over the motor shaft. The upper link arm
will then be directly over the motor shaft.

Push crank arm down onto motor shaft splines.

Apply thread locking compound, part no. 1161053-2 to motor shaft threads.

Tighten nut to 20 Nm (15 ft.lbf). Use 26 mm fixed spanner as counterhold when tightening nut.

Install wiper unit. See: Wiper Motor/Service and Repair

Test and adjust for correct operation as necessary.
