Removing & Installing Radio

Volvo Radio Removal Procedures 

Over the years, Volvo has used several radios in their vehicles with various methods for removal.  Below are the most common radio removal
procedures.

Variation 1

1.  Remove radio control knobs (four).
2.  Undo catches by hooking them through small holes under control knobs.
3.  Pull radio to remove.

 
 
Variation 2

1. Depress rectangular tabs near edge of radio. (They will pop up.)
2. Pull tabs to release catches and remove radio.

 
 
Variation 2

1.  Using special tool, release catches.
2.  Pull tool to remove radio.
