Particular care must be taken when carrying out repairs to cars equipped with SRS. For further information, refer to appropriate service manual.
The Active Sound Control system (ASC) automatically increases and decreases the volume of the car's sound system with the speed of the car. This
function is available with the SC-815.
If a customer complains that the ASC system does not work first check that the customer has switched on the function on the radio. ASC should appear
in the display. If ASC is displayed and the function still does not work, check that the car is in the specified chassis number range and is equipped with a
separate 4x40W or 4x50W amplifier.
If this is so, there is a wire missing in the wire harness between the radio and the amplifier. The fault can be remedied by replacing the wire harness
between the radio and amplifier.
