Installation of service kit:

NOTE:

USE ONLY SAFETY WIRE AND BOLTS FROM THE KIT!

After block heater is in position:

-

Install: two spacer sleeves on longer bolt from the service kit. (see illustration 8702231A)

-

tighten to 16 Nm (12 ft. lbs.)

-

Install: locking wire and twist as shown. (see illustration 8702230A)

9 clips included in service kit (9184714-5) are NOT needed for this repair and should be discarded.

A.

Remove:

-

bolt and bracket attaching the engine block heater to the engine block. (see illustration 8702233A)

B.

Check:

-

remove the engine block heater.
