Cabin Temperature Sensor / Switch: Service and Repair
Duct (Discharge) Sensor
Duct (Discharge) Sensor
(Electronic Climate Control)
1. Ignition off
The duct temperature sensor is located in the driver or passenger side ventilation duct.
2. Expose duct temperature sensor:

Remove control module. Refer to "Connecting and Disconnecting Test Unit" (On Board Diagnostic Test Unit.) See: Testing and
Inspection/Initial Inspection and Diagnostic Overview

Remove sound insulation.

Remove glove compartment (on passenger side). Refer to "Blower Motor Replacement". See: Blower Motor/Service and Repair
3. Remove connector:
Remove connector from duct temperature sensor.
4. Remove duct temperature sensor:
-
Cut off tie.
-
Pull duct temperature sensor downwards.
5. Install:
-
Duct temperature sensor.
-
Connector.
-
Replace tie.
-
Control module.
-
Sound insulation.
-
Glove compartment (on passenger side).
