The check valves are located as illustrated. One check valve is located in the hose to the intake manifold and prevents air flowing from the engine to the
EVAP canister when the turbocharger (TC) is operating. The other check valve is located in the hose to the fresh air intake. It closes if there is negative
pressure in the intake manifold, this prevents air flowing from the fresh air intake to the intake manifold.
