A modified support strip, P/N 9154226-6, has been developed to increase the contact surface for PUR adhesive. The support strip was introduced into
production from the following chassis numbers:

Although the new support strip is the same height as before, the support lip in contact with the upper body flange has been removed. This increases the
contact surface of the PUR bead along the upper body flange, increasing the area of the seal and reducing the risk of leakage.
