Thermostat: Testing and Inspection

THERMOSTAT TESTING:

-

Thermostat can be tested, if required, in hot water. After reaching opening temperature (see below) it should not take longer than 2 minutes for
thermostat to open fully.

Three types of thermostat are in use:

Marking 82:

Starts to open at ..........................................................................................................................................................................  81-83°C (176-181°F)
Fully open at ..............................................................................................................................................................................  90-94°C (194-201°F)

Marking 87:

Starts to open at ..........................................................................................................................................................................  86-88°C (187-190°F)
Fully open at ...........................................................................................................................................................................................  97°C (207°F)

Marking 92:

Starts to open at ..........................................................................................................................................................................  91-93°C (196-197°F)
Fully open at .........................................................................................................................................................................................  102°C (216°F)
