Ignition Cable: Testing and Inspection
1.
Inspect spark plug wires for signs of arcing or burning.
2.
Check resistance of wires using an ohmmeter. Resistance should be:
6 K ohm for solid core wires with resistor ends
5.6 ± 1 K ohm for carbon core wires
3.
If resistance is not within specifications, replace spark plug wire set.
