Throttle Position Switch: Adjustments
THROTTLE POSITION SWITCH ADJUSTMENT
Adjusting the Throttle Position Switch

Start by turning the Throttle Position (TP) Switch clockwise as shown by the arrow (A) until it stops.

Then turn the TP switch counter-clockwise as shown in the illustration by the arrow (B) until a "click" is heard, and then continue to turn until it
stops, but no further.

The throttle must not start to open, so hold it closed with a finger on the throttle disc. Keeping the TP switch in the position tighten the screws on
the switch.
Checking

Open the throttle and check the gap between the throttle lever and adjustment screw with a feeler gauge.

With a 0.45 mm feeler gauge there should be no click from the idle switch when the throttle is closed.

With a 0.15 mm feeler gauge there should be a click from the idle switch when the throttle is closed.
^
Connect TP switch connector.
