Transmission Position Switch/Sensor: Description and Operation

Used by the fuel injection ECU:
 When the automatic transmission shift lever is in the "NEUTRAL" or "PARK" position, the fuel injection ECU receives a signal from the inhibitor
switch. The inhibitor switch is hidden in the center console at the shift lever.
