With the accelerator pedal fully depressed, the control pulley should touch the full throttle stop.
Checking Link Rod

Connect the link rod.

Place a 1 mm (0.04 in) feeler gauge between the control pulley and idle speed stop. Clearance between the lower adjustment screw and the end
stop should now be 0.008 in ± 0.004 in (0.2 mm ± 0.1 mm). Adjust link rod as needed.
Checking Kickdown Cable

Check the kick-down cable (if equipped) adjustment by pulling the cable out approx. 0.375 in (10 mm) and release suddenly. You should hear a
metallic "click" from the gearbox.
a. If cable is over tight, no sound will be heard.
a. If cable is to loose, no kickdown action will result.
Adjust cable as necessary.
