Oxygen sensor (Lambdasond®)
The ideal air/fuel ratio is usually given as 14.7 kg of air to 1 kg of fuel. The oxygen sensor is used to measure the oxygen content of the exhaust gases as
a means of achieving these conditions.
Since the device functions only above a certain temperature, it is heated electrically to ensure that the specified value is reached quickly and maintained
more efficiently. Current is supplied to the heating element when the system relay operates.
